Puppy contract (pet)
For all purposes and intents of this contract, ____________________ of ____________________ shall hereto after be referred to as SELLER and ________________________ of __________________________ shall hereto after be referred to as BUYER. This contract is null and void unless signed by both parties.
The SELLER agrees that all pedigree and genetic information disclosed to BUYER in regards to the puppy purchased is correct in its entirety and all puppies purchased from Von Isengard German Shepherd Dogs are eligible for American Kennel Club registration. All puppies will also come tattooed and/or microchipped.
The SELLER agrees to deliver, to the best of their ability, a healthy, mentally sound puppy and agrees to give BUYER full disclosure regarding and health concerns applicable to sold puppy.
The BUYER agrees not to use purchased puppy for the use of any illegal and/or cruel activities such as dogfighting, bear baiting, boar baiting, etc.
The BUYER agrees not to use purchased puppy for the breeding of any wild dog or domestic dog hybrids.
The Seller reserves the right to confiscate purchased puppy with NO financial compensation should the buyer be convicted of abuse and/or neglect of purchased puppy.
The BUYER agrees that if they cannot keep their Von Isengard puppy for any reason, at ANY TIME during the dog's life, they will return the dog to the seller before relinquishing the dog to a shelter or rescue group. Returned dogs will not have their purchase price refunded in whole or in part. Buyer also agrees to notify seller of ANY transfer of ownership. **Please note that the puppy's hip guarantee is NONTRANSFERABLE**
The SELLER agrees to replace any puppy, without requiring return of original puppy, that developes crippling hip or elbow displasia, with a rating of mild, moderate or severe displaysia in one or both hips, as certified by the Orthopaedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), provided the BUYER meets the following specifications:
1. The puppy is, at NO time to be kept in overweight or obese condition.
2. The puppy is not exposed to prolonged overexcercise or conditioning such as jumping, climbing and long runs until the puppy has reached 12 months of age.
3. The puppy has a preliminary hip xray between 11 and 14 months of age prior to the puppy's final xray at 24 months of age.
4. In the event of an unpromising xray, they puppy must be delivered to the seller within 10 days of original xray, where the seller may obtain a second opinion from a vet of their choice.
5. The puppy must not have suffered from severe injury to the hindquarters such as a car accident or a damaging fall.
6. The puppy must not have been bred under 24 months of age and/or without OFA/SV certification.
